The Kays Foundation, formerly known as the Arkansas State College Foundation for the Advancement of Higher Education, has been a long time supporter of Arkansas State University. The Foundation was established in 1911, just two years after the institution was founded through the vision and leadership of Mr. V. C. Kays the first President of ASU and a group of visionary and dedicated citizens who committed to use their time, means, and assets to establish the school.

The Kays Foundation Board of Directors is composed of seven leading citizens chosen from the Jonesboro Community for their service, wisdom, and commitment to Arkansas State University.
