V. C. Kays

Native of Peoria, Illinois. Mr. V.
C. Kays came to Jonesboro and helped establish the A & M College and
became the first President. Served from 1910-1943. He helped get funding
from legislators and donated his own time, money and land to further the

1919. He was a retired Civil Engineer,
an alumnus of ASU, served on the
Arkansas State University Foundation
Board. Was a long term friend and
contributor to Arkansas State
