Grant announcement for 2007-2008

January 22, 2007 -- JONESBORO

The Board of Directors of the Kays Foundation today announced grants to a Biological Sciences faculty member and to the College of Nursing & Health Professions at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro.

The projects were chosen from 41 proposals received for 2007-2008 funding. The grants will provide support for the following:

          ASU Department of Biological Sciences, Dr. Thomas Risch, Associate Professor $9,022.00 which will be used to help develop a state-wide educational and conservation initiative centered on ongoing research with Eastern Bluebirds.

          ASU College of Nursing & Health Professions, Dr. Susan Hanrahan, Dean $11,000.00 for matching funds for the purchase of a patient ventilator for use in a critical care lab of the ASU Nursing Program.

The Kays Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation supporting Arkansas State University.
